My First Julep Polishes~ YAY :D

Haiii everyone! Long time no see/talk! I've missed talking to you guys here :P So yea, dorm life is great so far~ My roomie's awesome :3
Anyway, today I'm going to show you guys my first two Julep Polishes! I believe I ordered the Bombshell Box. The shipping was super fast also! Omg, I'm really excited because I love these polishes! :D

Direct light, just to show you how sparkly the glitter is! :D
So now having seen the swatches, lemme show you the packaging~

These have a "Swatch Me" on the top so it's very easy to pick out which color you like when you look at the bottles from above. My only concern though is that the stickers seem quite hard to peel off, so how exactly should I "swatch" the top of my cap ._____. The side of the bottles are quite artistic looking too, with the paint being blocked off by black.

Madison is a really unique color, with an amazing formula. At first, I thought it would be very sheer and jelly-like, but surprisingly, no! It dries to a rubbery finish, and it's already pretty opaque by two coats, only with a slight visible nail line.
One Coat

Two Coats
I've been wearing this combo on my nails for a couple days now, and I've been getting so many compliments!
Honestly, I love these polishes AND LET ME TELL YOU. They actually smell good. Not sure if I can describe the smell, but it's fresh and lemony ._. holy, Julep is awesome. Definitely can see myself purchasing future boxes!
Okay that's it for today, bbycakes~ I'll probably update you guys on school/college life some time heheheh.
Love you alll~~~

Fashion Friday Coral Formal! Plus My Favorite Pair of Heels :3

Happy Friday everyone! :3 I had a cooking presentation today, and also a publicity thing with the afterschool program I work at, so I figured I should dress up! But today, I'm not wearing a traditional black blazer, but I'm wearing a coral one! Hehehhe, dressing up makes me happy :P

And here's a super happy me showing off my favorite pair of heels! :D
I wanted to take a close up picture of my skirt, but it didn't work out really well :| anyway, it's just a ruched mesh type material on top of a basic cotton skirt. Super comfy! Not restricting at all hahaha. And also, in the below picture, you'll notice that I have NO NAIL POLISH ON! I've decided to let my nails take a rest because honestly, they've been peeling and breaking a lot lately ): It's a really big commitment for me, because as you guys all know, I LOVE NAIL POLISH hahahah. But for the sake of my nails, I'm going to let them be bare for a while. Don't worry though! I have a few pre-swatched polishes that I want to show you guys, so I will have some nail polish blog posts up, but most will be fashion related. Sorry la >.<

Ruffly Blouse: Abercrombie & Fitch
Coral Blazer: Wet Seal
Black Skirt: Forever 21
Pink Bow Heels: Princess by Vera Wang

And here's one last camwhore shot before I leave :P
Hehehe, okay that's it for today! I'll talk to you guys soon, I have a dance performance again tomorrow so gotta wake up early!
Goodnight sweethearts ❤

China Glaze Flirty Tankini Swatches and Review

Hi guys, sorry for not posting for the last few days... my internet explorer doesn't allow me to upload pictures so now I downloaded google chrome haha. Anyway, here's my #2 Favorite Polish of 2012, Flirty Tankini. It's a beautiful neon pink with soft coral undertones. It has really subtle shimmer that softens the neon-ness and makes it very wearable! Some pics :3

One Coat, with flash

This is quite opaque, completely full at 2 coats. And because it is a neon, it does dry satin/matte. The formula is amaaaazing, such a dream to work with. I honestly don't have anything bad to say about this polish! That's why it made #2 on my list haha, hope you guys are having a wonderful new year so far! Thanks for reading <3 div="div">

My Top 5 Polishes of 2012, Lots of Pics :3

Hi everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful, amazing, fantastic, and polish-filled holiday season! Because I sure did hahaha, I ended up with a LOT more polish than I expected :P Anyway, I haven't talked to you guys in so long, missed you guys! :3

Anyway:
Happy New Year! :-***

Honestly, you guys mean sooo much to me, like a friend who will always listen to my rambling and accept my "freak" habit of collecting nail polishes. Hahaha, so the real topic today is to show you my favorites from 2012! I was originally going to pick out 12, but I realized too many of them were unswatched and I honestly don't have that much time to swatch them so I narrowed down to 5! Hope you enjoy (:

#1 Polish of 2012: Lavender Fizz by Milani

This polish is the SPARKLIEST polish I own, REALLY! Like every time I do something, my nails always catch my eye first hahaha, love purple, love glitter, purple+glitter= #1!

#2 Polish of 2012: Flirty Tankini by China Glaze

Beaaaauuutiful neon coral shade from the China Glaze neon summer collection, it's really flattering on my skin tone. Most pinks are extreeeemely ugly on me... I guess my skintone just doesn't work well with pinks! But the orange coral touch in this polish really matches my warmer skintone YAY (: The shimmer in it is sooo gorgeous and makes it very wearable, unlike flat neons! I wore this on my toes TWICE. Seriously, it has to be one kick-ass polish if I wear it TWICE.

#3 Polish of 2012: Sugar Coat by Wet n Wild Megalast

I have to apologize... I don't have a color accurate picture for this polish and its beauty. I have a post about it here, and even made a nail art design here.
This is just a really light soft lavender based baby pink. Perfect palette cleanser for me! Gives me an effortless yet very polished look, really love this!

#4 Polish of 2012: Cinderella by Sinful Colors

This is the base color that I used for like... 50% of my nail art? Hahaha and my bottle's half gone, so that's how much I love it! I have a full review of it (from my earlier days, so pics aren't watermarked, oops!) here, and I even did a VERY EMBARASSING gradient of it here... pains me to even mention it hahaha :P

#5 Polish of 2012: Rare and Radiant by China Glaze (and all the other Chanel Peridot dupes)

This was actually really hard, as you all know, I picked up two colors from the Bohemian collection, and I really love both of them! Hard to choose because they're both amazing colors, but golds tend to be a bit more flattering on me, so I chose this one. Application, finish, duochrome, this polish is GORGEOUS!

Okay, that concludes my favorites of the year! I hope you all had an amazing New Year's Eve, and best wishes to all of us in the coming year! I love you alllll :-***

Summer Flirt

(Second time posting this, fingers crossed that it will work properly!)

Hahha, so this is the design today! I actually did it with my friend who came over the other day, we had matching nails <3 Except hers were blue and about 12387x prettier... Oh and let me apologize beforehand for the terrible smudge on my pinky. I was being impatient haha, LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES! Dont rush the topcoat on stamps

Two coats of China Glaze Flirty Tankini, stamped with BM-04 and added pale pink rhinestones. Ring finger is a Claire's holo glitter called "Glitter Topcoat". What a name! Still needs a topcoat over this "topcoat" for it to be smooth though HOW IRONIC xD

The plate I used.
And, how can I not add a close up of Flirty Tankini? See all that microshimmer? GORGEOUS. Bright shimmery coral. What more can I ask for? Perfect summer shade! Have it on my toes as well haha, CANT GET ENOUGH. Okay, I'll stop with the rambling...
This design is also the one I used for My Pretty Paints Giveaway so feel free to enter and check out the designs by all the other wonderful artists out there! Thanks for reading, and until next time <3
