Flirtin' Co Review: Polish Swatches and Mani Scrub

Hi guys! So I recently won a giveaway on Instagram for some goodies to this indie brand called Flirtin' Co. I picked up 2 polishes and a sugar mani scrub. Sham also sent me some business cards and an extra bubble blower to play with! Super cute haha

The owner, Sham, is a complete sweetheart! The sugar scrub leaked in the mail, and when I messaged her about it, she immediately sent me a replacement. The Pina Colada scent of the scrub is delicious haha.

So onto the polishes! The first is a color from her "Say I Do" collection called "To Have & To Hold". Beautiful soft green with a pearly yellow sheen, and it's scattered with holographic glitters. Formula is nice and thin, and I used 3 coats. If your nails are shorter, you can definitely get away with 2 thicker coats.

Saving my favorite for last, this is "PINKing of You", and it's gorgeous! A light pink with a pearly sheen, and packed with small fuchsia glitters and larger holographic glitters! This one definitely is a sparkle ball! Really fun, and formula was great! I used 2 coats for the picture, but you can build it up for more depth if you with another coat.

Overall, I just want to say that I'm very impressed with this company! Customer service, products, shipping time, everything is very nice! It was a great experience, and I definitely will be ordering from them again :)

Okay, that's it for today, thanks for reading!

Christine

Abstract Shattered Pink Holographic Foil Nails

Hellooo sweetie buns!
I had some trouble coming up with a name for this look haha. I got a whole bag of foils the other day, so I felt like doing some sort of  mani with them. I first layed down a coat of Wet n Wild Sugar Coat, then I did everything else on top.

For my middle finger, I put down a layer of the foil and jelly sandwiched it with Sugar Coat again. I love how it turns hot pink!

For my ring finger and thumb, I sponged on Sally Hansen's Strobe Light, a beautiful light pink glitter with larger holo glitters. Love how this shines!

So I'm not too sure about how the looks, because someone commented that it looks like I scratched some of the foil off hahaha. But a part of me still thinks this looks like shattered glass and likes the distressed look.
Let me know what you guys think!

Thank you for reading heh

Christine

OPI DS Opulence Reswatched!

Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm just living my March day by day hoping I get acceptances from colleges!
Today I have a preswatched polish for you guys called DS Opulence by OPI. I did a post about it before, here, but I don't think I did this polish justice. Honestly, it is one of my go-to polishes because it's safe and toned down, but at the same time, really sparkly and special! Such an amazing shapeshifter (: Lets get straight into it!

Opulence is a muted rose/mauve with speckles of shimmer in the shade/ indoor light, but under direct light, it turns into this gorgeous medium-deep rose with beautiful multi sized holo shimmer!
Middle finger 1 coat, rest two coats of DS Opulence, with flash. Look at that holo!
One of the reasons I love this polish, the beautiful subtle holo shimmer! *o*

And here in the bottle, you can see a slight green duochrome, which is only apparent on the nails when you tilt it at extreme angles.

A bit of the green duochrome.
Below, I will show you some more pictures of this polish in the shade, so you can really see how neutral/wearable it seems.

And then BAM, sunlight again~~~

Hehehe, I get so happy whenever I talk about this polish because 1) It reminds me of Jenni, and 2) My mom loves this polish as much as I do haha, beautiful beautiful beautiful polish (:
So glad to conclude a day talking about my favorite polish, makes me so happyyyy~
Thanks for reading, my lovelies~ I'll talk to you next time! :D

Color Club Winter Affair Duo: Gift of Sparkle and Anon Glitter Swatches and Review. Prizes of Jenni :3

Hi my sweethearts! Soooo, I have a really special post for you guys today! It's another giveaway prize from the lovely Jenni of I Relish Nail Polish. 2nd time! I'm one LUUUCKY girl :D I just wanna say thank you Jenni (:

So let me show you guys some swatches and then show the amazing packaging she used :3

In the below pictures, I have 2 coats of Gift of Sparkle and 1 coat of Glitter on my ring and thumb.
Artificial Lighting

Natural Lighting

Gift of Sparkle is a very dense and thick glitter polish consisting of dark purple, red, and sparse holo glitter suspended in a slighting plum tinted base.
This is one coat of Gift of Sparkle.
And this Anonymous glitter is anonymous because Color Club's duos always dont have names.... And I couldn't find this glitter listed anywhere in the Winter Affair collection, but oh well, I forgive Color Club because its GORGEOUS. Seriously, I can't even describe it, it's like little hexagonal iridescent glitter that flashes from orange/light pink to teal/blue. OMG LOVE.

I think the bottle would give a better idea of the effect. SOOO PRETTY.

All in all, I love this duo! Although Gift of Sparkle is a bit thick, I think it's worth it because the glitter is so dense. And that holo! You all know I love holos :3 Hehehe, and the Iridescent glitter's formula is very nice too, nice amount of glitter for each coat, no need to fish or anything like that. And a plus? THEY'RE SOOOO SPARKLY.
Direct sunlight! Blurred to show you how sparkley it is!!!

Bottle shot :3
And now, let me amaze you with the adorable packaging! Along with bubblewrapping everything, she even wrapped the individual polishes with tissue! How considerate! Thanks Jenni :D

 AND OMG. ARE YOU READY:

Hand written note! :3333
Jenni, you're such a sweetheart! I'm so glad to have made a friend like you through blogging. Honestly, that's the best part of blogging: being able to know so many amazing people and build bonds. Thank you guys so much! c:
Love, Christine.

Sparkling Water by Savina Swatches and Review

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! Today's the first week of school after finals, and my teachers are already piling up so much work ):
Anyway, I haven't been painting my nails too much lately, but I have LOTS of pictures that I took from before, and here is one of them: Sparkling Water by Savina.

2 Coats of Sparkling water and 2 Coats of topcoat

1 Coat of Sparkling water, Flash

1 Coat, without flash.
As you probably noticed, this polish is gorgeous, but... Really gritty! The holo particles are very big and when the base color goes over them, it creates a lumpy gritty effect... I guess the "textured" look is very popular now, but hahaha not my thing :P The polish itself does have a bit of green sheen to it, and my camera didn't capture it very well so I tried to edit it...

2 Coats

2 Coats, with flash. Holo looks great huh!

And one final picture, I find that flash make the lumpiness look not so bad :P
So, texture aside, the lasting power on this one is very weak. It started chipping after like... 2 days, when normal polishes last a week on me. Maybe because it's a holo? Well, it's holo glitter, it's not holo. Lol idk :P
All in all, I like this color, but I dont LOVE it enough to wear it regularly.
What do you think?

OPI DS Polishes, Swatches and Review; Giveaway Prize from Jenni (:

Hi everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts, I was away for Thanksgiving (: How were your Thanksgivings? I actually didn't have a turkey this year hahaha, bizarre!
Anyway, I recently received my giveaway prizes from Jenni (: Thanks Jenni, I'm such a luck gal :D
So, I have two OPI polishes from the DS series to show you! And I'm going to apologize beforehand if some pics aren't the best quality, somehow, my camera doesn't like to pick up the blue-purple duochrome, so I had to use my phone ):

Look at the cute packaging it came in and how nicely its wrapped! :D

2 coats of OPI DS Magic
This is a little bit streaky on the first coat, but it evens out perfectly by the second.

I love the rich blue and the flecks of shimmer that changes from blue to purple!

This is a little bit closer to the true color, it's definitely not as dark as the previous pictures. Love it :3
This polish's formula was quite a breeze to work with, its definitely thin but not runny, so it doesn't pool and also has smooth application. The base is such a rich royal blue, it makes me feel so sophisticated when I wear it hahaha. Because of its blue-purple duochrome though, I wanted to pull out some of the similar blue-purple shifting colors to compare:

Index: Color Club Sky High Middle: Sally Hansen HD DVD layerd over black creme Ring: OPI DS Magic Pinky: Sally Hansen HD DVD

So as you can see, no dupes! I like the look of Sally Hansen HD DVD on top of black, but I really like the royal blue base of OPI DS Magic :P

Okay, next! OPI DS Opulence, a beautiful muted dusty rose holo! :D

One easy coat, very opaque!

Two coats + flash to see holo :3

This is more of what the color looks like most of the time; it's not as pink as it looks above in the flash pics. Hence, I call this my "crazy nude" hahahha.
To be honest, I thought that I would like DS Magic more than DS Opulence because you know me, I like my brights and funky's! But maaan, the intricate and subtle holo of Opulence is realllyyyyy gorgeous and I do have to say I like it better! The application on Opulence was also more smooth and opaque.

All in all, I'm in loooove with these two shades, and I've worn Opulence for a week already haha. Thank you so much to Jenni! And thanks to you guys for reading and following! I'm at 60 friends already! So excited, you guys are the best (:

Milani Nail Lacquer: Lavender Fizz and Pink Flare Glitter Swatches and Review

Hi my sweethearts! Happy No H8 day! I guess I can semi-say that I'm participating because I have a purple glitter for you guys right? :P But anyway, seriously. Bullying, it wasn't something I grew up with, but it was definitely something I had witnessed a lot. Being a girl, I would always see groups of girls accepting some, yet rejecting others, and trashtalking them in the process. Right to their faces. Thats not okay :\ Leaving someone out like that, and especially saying extremely mean things. I'm hoping that people will begin to realize how much it hurts that person, because it really can be devastating, to be rejected by a social group and be the hot topic of gossip and rumors.

So here today, coincidentally, I have a lavender purple glitter, and a light nude/pink glitter from Milani. First, let's talk about Lavender Fizz.

Natural Lighting, 2 Coats

Lavender Fizz is a GORGEOUS  lavender glitter with a bit of fuchsia undertones. Just a bit. It's very opaque, because it has different sizes of glitter, and the small glitter really does fill up a lot of space.

1 Coat, gritty! Top coat eater!
And oh my oh my... This polish is sooooooo blingy!!! Like, when I wear my rings with this, THIS OUTBLINGS MY RING. Seriously. I can't even begin! Love this polish sooooo much :3 Definitely going to be getting a lot of wear out of this :D

And here's a bottle shot to show how dense the glitter is!
Now next, Pink Flare, a medium pink with slight nude/orange undertones. These pictures are not very true to color, this polish is a bit less pink in real life :P

3 Coats

This is a bit more true to color. But it's not this nude either hahah, it's like a mix between this picture and the above pictures!
1 Coat.

AND HOLOOOO YAAAY
I also really enjoy this polish, because YOU GUYS KNOW ABOUT MY LOVE FOR HOLOS :3 Heheheh, on the nails, its not as blingy as Lavender Fizz but it definitely is very sparkly! AND LOOK AT THE HOLO:

Heheheh, all in all, I really love these two polishes!!! Looooove~~~ I know that I will be wearing these quite a bit hehe. The formula was amazing for Lavender Fizz, the brushes are small, but big enough to get a nice curve around the cuticle for perfect application. The consistency was really smooth as well. Pink Flare was a bit on the sheerer side, but I can see it as a layering glitter~
Alright, that's it for today! Stay safe and have a great memorial weekend :-*
