VELVET SUGAR by Bath and Body Works Inspired Mani

Hi my sparkles! How was your day so far? Today I have a nail art post, (Yay not a swatch finally!!!) haha. It's inspired by this lotion that I've been desperately trying to use up xD I've had it for a while now, it's the Velvet Sugar Body Cream by Bath and Body Works. Not the biggest fan of the scent, but it works!

I wanted to do a mani based on the colors of the tube, originally I was going to do the floss/quilting technique, but I couldn't get that right, so I just went with striping haha. I also stamped on a turquoise floral design.

I used: Sally Hansen "Rupee Red" for the deep maroon color, Formula X "Brazen" for the pink, and Sinful Colors "Mint Apple" for the (little) splash of turquoise.

I originally did this mani in the glossy form, but I think it looked nicer matte, so I added Essie's matte topcoat over it. Here's the original version.

Okay, that's it for today's post! What's your favorite scent from Bath and Body Works? :)

Christine

Fourth of July: FLAG NAILS

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO MY AMERICAN READERS 😍😊
Hope you guys all had a great weekend, and are enjoying your time with friends and family! Today I have a Fourth of July nail design to share with you. Very easy!

I used Sinful Colors "Snow Me White" for the white, Formula X "Omni" for the blue, and striped on Julep "Elsie" as the shimmery holo red. I added a glitter called "Marry a Billionaire" by China Glaze to my pinky to imitate the sparkle of a fireworks show haha. I used the same white polish to stamp on some stars with the Bundle Monster BM14 plate.

These were super fun to wear! I had a lot of fun creating these, and a lot of people complimented me on my nails! Definitely super patriotic haha. Hope you guys enjoyed, and I would love to see some of your designs too! Link them to me via my Insta: @steamiexo or just comment them down below :D

That's it for today, I'll see you guys next time!
XO,
Christine

Classy Mauve Pedicure

Hellooooo, I'm back with something I've never done on here before: a pedicure!
I usually don't like to show my toes because I think feet are gross LOL..... But I did them earlier, and it turned out pretty nice, and also APRIL FOOLS DAY SO WHY THE HELL NOT.

Here's what they look like. My pinky toes look a little fucked up LOL. I tried xD
I used two coats of the Wet n Wild polish as a base color, and it's very beautiful and creamy! Honestly could've gotten away with one coat, but I used two just for more opacity. I stamped my big toe with a Bundle Monster Plate #12, shown below, freehanded some stripes and triangles, and added a layer of glitter on the ring toe. Doesn't really show up much though.

These are the polishes I used.
Wet n Wild Stay Classy, Kiss Nail Art White and Silver Stripers, Spoiled by Wet n Wild I Gotta Confection to Make.

Bundle Monster plate #12. I do enjoy these designs, but haven't played around with too many of them.

Okay that's it for today! Let me know what you think of this design, and whether or not you think feet are gross LOL CUZ I DO.

Thanks for reading! Until next time,
XOXO,
Christine

Minty Goodness! Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet and NYC Starry Silver Glitter + Outfit Pic~

Happy Tuesday everyone! :D It's my first day back at school... and... let's just say I fell asleep a couple of times hahah.
Anyway, over the 4-day weekend, I finally decided to paint my nails after letting them rest after Valentines. So here it is!
1 coat of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Mint Sorbet, and one coat of NYC Starry Silver Glitter on accent nails.
I love this shot :3 this green is as close to true color as I can capture it, although it can be quite a shapeshifter, going from very light to more yellow toned indoors. This is natural lighting.

And the next picture is artificial lighting before I stuck on the rhinestones, sorry about the messy cuticles haha, didn't clean up :P

With flash, I think this captures the glitter very well.
The glitter I used is a mixture of small holo particles and slightly bigger iridescent glitter along with big bright blue hexagonal glitter and lavender glitter. The only complaint that I have though, is that the bigger colored hexagonal glitter is very sparse, so you have to fish it out of the bottle and manually place it on. The base color is Mint Sorbet, a very light mint green leaning pistachio, very opaque, love the formula of this. Below is one coat of it:

And here is a bottle shot with the names on the bottle. Mint Sorbet dries darker than bottle color, and Starry Silver Glitter is very sparse haha.

And here is the plate and design I used. I'm starting to feel that I'm the only one who still uses Konad haha, everyone else seemed to move onto brands like Cheeky and Red Angel and what not, but oh well :P

And one last photo, me being a camwhore as always :P I really love this green on my skintone heheh

Okay, that's the end of today's post! Talk to you guys soon~ And just a quick thank you to those who are recent followers, you make me so happy when I receive new comments and see my follower count go up (:
-Kisses,
Christine.

Hearts and Kisses, Valentines Day Nail Art :D

Hi everyone! :D I'm back with a nail polish post today, yay :3 I've been in quite a happy mood lately hehe, so I have a simple romantic mani to share today~
However, just take a note that the pink looks more true in the artificial lighting pics, natural lighting makes it too blue-ish.

This is natural lighting, do you guys prefer this or my artificial light? Color is inaccurate here...

Do you guys see how cloudy my rhinestone looks? Any ways to prevent this? ):

Love this finger the most hehe, kissies :-*

The pink I used is called Dance Baby by China Glaze and the white is Sally Hansen White On, which is very streaky... but typical for a pure white polish.
Here is everything at 1 coat, you can see how amazingly opaque Dance Baby is! :D

Okay, that concludes today's post! I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far :3 And, of course, thanks for reading (:
-Hugs and Kisses,
Christine.

Black Glittery French, Winter Ball Mani

Hi everyone! Last night was Winter Ball, a Moonlit Masquerade. I went with my date, my bubu bear :3 I've had my nails bare for almost a week already because I didn't know what dress I'm doing to wear. So I bought a black and gold dress, I'll probably have some pictures if you guys want haha :P
SO ANYWAAAYYY, my nails. I decided to go with a black french, so I can match my dress. I do believe I've seen something similar and that was probably what inspired me but I honestly can't remember where I've seen it, so sorry!

Do you like the holo? :D

I used 2 different lightings for these pics, tell me if you like the lighting on the first and second picture, or the other ones!

Here's what I used:
Nameless Shimmery Onyx Love and Beauty color, Claire's Glitter Topcoat, Icing's Frost Yourself, Essie's My Private Cabana

And then I just stamped on some flowers and added rhinestones :3 Hope you guys like this mani, because I LOOOVE IT. What a way to remember Winter Ball (:

China Glaze Bohemian Lustre Chrome: Rare and Radiant, Unpredictable

Hi my lovelies! I have two swatches for you guys today of the new China Glaze chromes! Rare and Radiant, the famous Chanel Peridot dupe, and Unpredictable. Sorry about my cuticles... They dont look that bad in real life, these macro shots just make everything 100x worse hahaha. This post is very picture-heavy... so if it's a little slow when loading..... then... yea. All the swatches are without topcoat, to show you the finish.

1 coat of Rare and Radiant
2 coats
Rare and Radiant is definitely NOT a sheer polish! As you can see, one coat is already very opaque. It is an antique dusty gold color that shifts to a dark green, and at extreme angles, a dark blue. The formula is AMAZING, dries faily quickly and the consistency is soooo dreamy! I dont have the Chanel to compare, but I'm just going to say, get this if all the other nail bloggers haven't convinced you already! The duochrome isn't as strong as in the bottle, but it's still really pretty! It SPARKLES LIKE CRAZY under direct sunlight!

Bottle shot of Rare and Radiant
Next up is Unpredictable, a medium teal color that shifts to a blurple, blue purple hahah:
1 coat of Unpredictable
2 coats

A better look at the gorgeous duochrome!

I definitely feel that Unpredictable is slightly more sheer than Rare and Radiant, it cannot stand as a one-coater. That might be the reason I like Rare and Radiant more... or maybe because it's a dupe for Peridot, hahah. The formula on this is perfect as well. With these chromes, the brushstrokes are almost nonexistant after these dry, LOVE!

Look at that duochrome! At extreme angles, Rare and Radiant kind of looks like Unpredictable huh!

So I got bored... and stamped a design from BM20 with Sinful Colors Black on Black. One coat of topcoat.
So what do you guys think? Did you all buy these already? :P

Summer Flirt

(Second time posting this, fingers crossed that it will work properly!)

Hahha, so this is the design today! I actually did it with my friend who came over the other day, we had matching nails <3 Except hers were blue and about 12387x prettier... Oh and let me apologize beforehand for the terrible smudge on my pinky. I was being impatient haha, LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES! Dont rush the topcoat on stamps

Two coats of China Glaze Flirty Tankini, stamped with BM-04 and added pale pink rhinestones. Ring finger is a Claire's holo glitter called "Glitter Topcoat". What a name! Still needs a topcoat over this "topcoat" for it to be smooth though HOW IRONIC xD

The plate I used.
And, how can I not add a close up of Flirty Tankini? See all that microshimmer? GORGEOUS. Bright shimmery coral. What more can I ask for? Perfect summer shade! Have it on my toes as well haha, CANT GET ENOUGH. Okay, I'll stop with the rambling...
This design is also the one I used for My Pretty Paints Giveaway so feel free to enter and check out the designs by all the other wonderful artists out there! Thanks for reading, and until next time <3
