Deborah Lippmann: Mermaid's Kiss Swatches and Review

Hello my beautiful readers! I hope you're all having a great day so far. Today I'm gonna be sharing with you swatches of a gorgeous polish from Deborah Lippmann. These were very popular a few years ago.

It's a gorgeous baby pink base loaded with gold microglitters and larger gold and fuchsia glitters. Super sparkly in the light! My pictures definitely do not do it justice, it's a very deep and complex polish. It's quite sheer on the first coat, but it builds up to full opacity with 3 coats.

Really love this color! I understand what the type about these polishes were haha, but very late to the train 😅 Enjoy your guys' day, and I'll talk to you guys next time!

XO,
Christine

Quick Nail Post: China Glaze Hunger Games Riveting and Electrified Gradient

Hello my sweethearts~ I'm just going to take a quick break from some make-up homework and write up a quick nail of the week post for you guys. During my stay at Washington, I had these nails on:

The below pic is taken from my phone, so the color is a bit off. Just wanted to show you guys a fuller picture of what this mani looks like (:

It's a sweet and simple glitter gradient with two China Glaze colors I got from their Hunger Games collection last year: Riveting and Electrified. Riveting is a gorgeous deep orange filled with sparkling gold bits that shimmer like crazy! I only used one coat of Riveting because it's such an opaque polish already! As you can probably tell from the below pics:

1 coat, I swear! Look at the gorgeous shimmer :D
And here is a blurry pic with flash to show you how much shimmer is in here! You can also tell from the bottle that this polish sparkles like CRAZY under direct light! So gorgeous :3

I've gotten so many compliments on my nails already, but honestly it's the polish. Glittery and gorgeous, not to mention very smooth and easy to apply AND LASTS SUPER LONG! I'll definitely be doing more glitter gradients because they're so simple but eye-catching! And it makes people think I spent lots of time on my nails xD

Okay, that's it for the quick post~ I'm about to continue doing my homework now! Hump day tomorrow, hang in there, sweethearts :P
Love,
Christine

Hard Candy: Crush on Copper Swatches and Review

Hi my little sweethearts! Long time no talk! I've been so busy registering for college preview nights and booking tickets and all that stuff... So much work lol. So I was at Walmart a couple weeks ago to check out the new Hard Candy collection, but I only picked up one polish. Mostly because they were almost sold out of everything else hahahah. The one I chose is called Crush on Copper, it's a gorgeous gold-based metallic copper shade. The particles are quite big, giving it lots of reflect and shine. Not to mention that it's also a one-coater!!! :D

All pictures below are one coat polish without topcoat.

This is under flash, look at how the particles shine!
Sad thing though, these started chipping the next day... And when  I started to remove them, look what I discovered!
Gold particles under the copper! Adds so much dimension to this polish :3
I really enjoy this polish, and I've gotten so many compliments! From guys too! Surprising huh? Hahaha, I love the mirror like finish of it, it's really shiny and reflective in real life, especially under direct light! I'm so glad that I got to pick this polish up, and can't wait to try the others from this line hehehe
That's it for today's post! Hope you're all having a wonderful day ❤

Tokidoki: Savannah! FINALLY :3

Hehehhehe finallyyyyyyyyyy! Got this swatched for you guys lol, this was the base of my ice cream mani btw. Sooo, last of my Toki Dokis ): I wish the Sephora I went to had more in stock... SIGHH.

So Savanna is a GORGEOUSSSS warm toned fine gold glitter and baby pink glitter too, so it adds a girly and soft touch to the gold (:
2 coats of Savanna and 2 coats of topcoat

1 coat

2 Coats
This glitter does dry down to a "sparkling sugar" kind of finish hahaha, as Scrangie puts it :P Love this kind of finish on glitters! I was sooo in love I almost didn't want to top coat it hahaha, but I did, to show you guys :3

This one's with flash. I tried to capture how it glitters in the sunlight BUT OMG. ITS SO SPARKLY. LIKE SOOOOO SPARKLY. even more sparkly than edward cullen.
Hehhehehe, I love this polish! I feel that this is very neutral and appropriate for those are edgy, but can't wear bright colors to work. Super gorgeous! Heheheh thanks for reading my sweetcakes! That's it for today~

Tokidoki Nail Polish: SANDy Swatches and Review

Hi lovelies :3 Today I have another Tokidoki bar glitter for you guys! And this one is SANDy. Yea, all caps except the y, hahaha. Sandy is the little pink haired girl who's in a cactus suit, and this polish, with the gold and green/blue duochrome bar glitters, does really capture the cactusness! And of course, with a light pink glitter base, it adds all the girlyness :3

These are 3 coats of SANDy, and two coats of topcoat: one coat of OPI, and one coat of Seche Vite.
These dry down more gritty than Donutella, so you do need 2 thick coats of top coat to smooth it down. I love this polish sooooo much because in normal lighting, it's a fairly standard "neutral", but when light hits it, BAM. glitter explosion heheheheh LOOOVE.

Natural lighting
I also love that this polish is a bit more sheer than Donutella, which makes it really nice for layering! I can't wait to try it over black!

1 Coat

DUOCHROME MADEMESS WHEEEEEEEEE
Formula was great, thinner than Donutella, so a bit easier to work with. Love this polish overall! Get it before Sephora discontinues it ):

China Glaze Bohemian Lustre Chrome: Rare and Radiant, Unpredictable

Hi my lovelies! I have two swatches for you guys today of the new China Glaze chromes! Rare and Radiant, the famous Chanel Peridot dupe, and Unpredictable. Sorry about my cuticles... They dont look that bad in real life, these macro shots just make everything 100x worse hahaha. This post is very picture-heavy... so if it's a little slow when loading..... then... yea. All the swatches are without topcoat, to show you the finish.

1 coat of Rare and Radiant
2 coats
Rare and Radiant is definitely NOT a sheer polish! As you can see, one coat is already very opaque. It is an antique dusty gold color that shifts to a dark green, and at extreme angles, a dark blue. The formula is AMAZING, dries faily quickly and the consistency is soooo dreamy! I dont have the Chanel to compare, but I'm just going to say, get this if all the other nail bloggers haven't convinced you already! The duochrome isn't as strong as in the bottle, but it's still really pretty! It SPARKLES LIKE CRAZY under direct sunlight!

Bottle shot of Rare and Radiant
Next up is Unpredictable, a medium teal color that shifts to a blurple, blue purple hahah:
1 coat of Unpredictable
2 coats

A better look at the gorgeous duochrome!

I definitely feel that Unpredictable is slightly more sheer than Rare and Radiant, it cannot stand as a one-coater. That might be the reason I like Rare and Radiant more... or maybe because it's a dupe for Peridot, hahah. The formula on this is perfect as well. With these chromes, the brushstrokes are almost nonexistant after these dry, LOVE!

Look at that duochrome! At extreme angles, Rare and Radiant kind of looks like Unpredictable huh!

So I got bored... and stamped a design from BM20 with Sinful Colors Black on Black. One coat of topcoat.
So what do you guys think? Did you all buy these already? :P
