Sparkling Water by Savina Swatches and Review

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! Today's the first week of school after finals, and my teachers are already piling up so much work ):
Anyway, I haven't been painting my nails too much lately, but I have LOTS of pictures that I took from before, and here is one of them: Sparkling Water by Savina.

2 Coats of Sparkling water and 2 Coats of topcoat

1 Coat of Sparkling water, Flash

1 Coat, without flash.
As you probably noticed, this polish is gorgeous, but... Really gritty! The holo particles are very big and when the base color goes over them, it creates a lumpy gritty effect... I guess the "textured" look is very popular now, but hahaha not my thing :P The polish itself does have a bit of green sheen to it, and my camera didn't capture it very well so I tried to edit it...

2 Coats

2 Coats, with flash. Holo looks great huh!

And one final picture, I find that flash make the lumpiness look not so bad :P
So, texture aside, the lasting power on this one is very weak. It started chipping after like... 2 days, when normal polishes last a week on me. Maybe because it's a holo? Well, it's holo glitter, it's not holo. Lol idk :P
All in all, I like this color, but I dont LOVE it enough to wear it regularly.
What do you think?

Revlon Facets of Fuchsia and Ulta Fashionably Late Swatches and Review

Hi my dears! Last week was finals week, so sorry for neglecting this blog! But now, I'm done! Wow, it feels wonderful to finish my last final, or at least the last one that REALLY matters for college hahaha.
Anyway, today's post will be of 2 polishes of the same kind. Dark jelly with colored glitter. I believe they are both dupes of some Deborah Lippmans but I dont own any, so I can't compare ):
 Here are the pictures!
Collage, just for fun :P
First, we have: Revlon Facets of Fuchsia, a polish that has undoubtedly made itself famous haha
2 coats of Revlon Facets of Fuchsia with 2 coats of Topcoat, taken from my phone because my camera refuses to capture the pink undertone of the glitter...

Index and Middle finger are 2 coats, ring and pinky are 1.

These are the pics from my camera... See how purple the glitter looks? It's actually much more pink.

And I thought this was artistic feeling, so here you go :D
This polish has been one of my top favorite vampy colors because it's dark, yet it's so fabulous! The formula on this one is quite bad... It's very thick, and thus very lumpy and hard to apply. Maybe a bit of thinner could help. Another note, it is quite a lumpy glitter, so that means its a topcoat eater! Anyway, I really like the color, so I would willingly go through the application pain :P

Next is: Ulta Fashionably Late, a polish that I picked up during their 5 for $5 Holiday sale! Such a steal :3
2 Coats of Fashionably Late with 2 coats of Topcoat.

Taken from my phone, but the red glitter is more vibrant, just like how the first picture is.
The formula on this one... well.. I said Facets of Fuchsia was bad right? Well this one is worse... It's thicker than FoF, and it also picks up more glitter, so the polish is hard to even out and distribute. After the second coat, you kind of have to patch in polish in some places. Again, gorgeous color, so maybe thinner will make me love it more.

Bottle shot. Ugh, it bothers me when FoF's gorgeous fuchsia glitter looks such a bland purple!!!
Anyway, aside from being angry at my camera and my phone's color detecting skills, I'm in quite a good mood today! And I hope you guys have an amazing weekend too! <3 p="">

Amway Magnetic Nail Polish: Artistry Swatches and Review

Happy Sunday guys! I'm trying to sneak a post in before I go to dance class at 12, haha. I have a really pretty purple magnetic to share with you guys today. It's from Amway's beauty line, Artistry. My mom is an IBO, so she often buys new products for us to try out. I believe this came out with the new holiday line of Artistry and it also came with a Light-Up Lip Gloss in Confetti, which I'll swatch and review if you guys want me to!

So, let's get on with the pictures!
1 coat with magnet applied.

As I said in the previous post, magnetic nail polishes remind me of 3-D boards :P And this one is a really gorgeous one too! The smoky purple, when magnet is applied, turns into a very dark maroon color, which produces those waves you see. The packaging of this is really similar to the ones from Color Club, circular with magnets attached to the lids.

Doesn't have a name .___.
Formula on this was great, it wore for a good week! Very easy to apply, and like most magnetic nail polishes, one coat opacity. Love this <3 p="p">Alllll right, hope you enjoyed today's post! Let me know what your favorite magnetic polish is in the comments! Love you guys, ttyl! :3

Color Club Magnetic Nail Polish: Sci-Fi Swatches and Review

Hi all! How are you guys doing? I feel great today because I finally got my long-anticipated presentation over with, and I feel like I can truly relax again! So today, I have my favorite magnetic polish to show you. Sci-Fi by Color Club is a olive-gold with flecks of gold glitter. So gorgeous!

One reason that Magnetic Polishes interest me is that they remind me of those 3-D boards! The ones you tilt up and down and they give you different images? That's what these resemble.

Before hovering the magnet over my nails, this is what Sci-Fi looks like:
Sorry this picture is a bit blurry, my camera doesn't want to focus...
All in all, it's a great polish! Very nice coverage, full opacity in 1 coat, like most magnetic polishes. Very easy to apply, and gorgeous color! That's it for today, thank you guys for reading! :-*

Nails Inc Sprinkles Sweets Way Swatches and Review

Hi everyone! First real Saturday that I get to enjoy the art of doing NOTHING. Haha, anyway, I just want to let you guys in on a little secret: I'm obsessed with glitter suspended in milky bases. OBSESSED. So I finally gave in and bought Sweets Way.

2 coats

1 coat

Look how gorgeous that it! :D I'm definitely soooo happy that I got it, now maybe I should go get more hahha :P The formula was great, the glitter does dispense equally after 2 coats, so no need for worries if the first coat looks really uneven. Although this polish is a bit on the thick side, I believe it's not that bad considering the amount of glitter you get.

And I know, there is a bit of visible nail line, even at 2 coats, but honestly, these macro shots and lighting magnifies everything. It looks perfectly fine in real life:
My friends say it looks like cotton candy :D And FYI, the book is Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels
Okay, that's it for today, sweethearts. Thank you all for reading and commenting! :-*

China Glaze Flirty Tankini Swatches and Review

Hi guys, sorry for not posting for the last few days... my internet explorer doesn't allow me to upload pictures so now I downloaded google chrome haha. Anyway, here's my #2 Favorite Polish of 2012, Flirty Tankini. It's a beautiful neon pink with soft coral undertones. It has really subtle shimmer that softens the neon-ness and makes it very wearable! Some pics :3

One Coat, with flash

This is quite opaque, completely full at 2 coats. And because it is a neon, it does dry satin/matte. The formula is amaaaazing, such a dream to work with. I honestly don't have anything bad to say about this polish! That's why it made #2 on my list haha, hope you guys are having a wonderful new year so far! Thanks for reading <3 div="div">

My Top 5 Polishes of 2012, Lots of Pics :3

Hi everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful, amazing, fantastic, and polish-filled holiday season! Because I sure did hahaha, I ended up with a LOT more polish than I expected :P Anyway, I haven't talked to you guys in so long, missed you guys! :3

Anyway:
Happy New Year! :-***

Honestly, you guys mean sooo much to me, like a friend who will always listen to my rambling and accept my "freak" habit of collecting nail polishes. Hahaha, so the real topic today is to show you my favorites from 2012! I was originally going to pick out 12, but I realized too many of them were unswatched and I honestly don't have that much time to swatch them so I narrowed down to 5! Hope you enjoy (:

#1 Polish of 2012: Lavender Fizz by Milani

This polish is the SPARKLIEST polish I own, REALLY! Like every time I do something, my nails always catch my eye first hahaha, love purple, love glitter, purple+glitter= #1!

#2 Polish of 2012: Flirty Tankini by China Glaze

Beaaaauuutiful neon coral shade from the China Glaze neon summer collection, it's really flattering on my skin tone. Most pinks are extreeeemely ugly on me... I guess my skintone just doesn't work well with pinks! But the orange coral touch in this polish really matches my warmer skintone YAY (: The shimmer in it is sooo gorgeous and makes it very wearable, unlike flat neons! I wore this on my toes TWICE. Seriously, it has to be one kick-ass polish if I wear it TWICE.

#3 Polish of 2012: Sugar Coat by Wet n Wild Megalast

I have to apologize... I don't have a color accurate picture for this polish and its beauty. I have a post about it here, and even made a nail art design here.
This is just a really light soft lavender based baby pink. Perfect palette cleanser for me! Gives me an effortless yet very polished look, really love this!

#4 Polish of 2012: Cinderella by Sinful Colors

This is the base color that I used for like... 50% of my nail art? Hahaha and my bottle's half gone, so that's how much I love it! I have a full review of it (from my earlier days, so pics aren't watermarked, oops!) here, and I even did a VERY EMBARASSING gradient of it here... pains me to even mention it hahaha :P

#5 Polish of 2012: Rare and Radiant by China Glaze (and all the other Chanel Peridot dupes)

This was actually really hard, as you all know, I picked up two colors from the Bohemian collection, and I really love both of them! Hard to choose because they're both amazing colors, but golds tend to be a bit more flattering on me, so I chose this one. Application, finish, duochrome, this polish is GORGEOUS!

Okay, that concludes my favorites of the year! I hope you all had an amazing New Year's Eve, and best wishes to all of us in the coming year! I love you alllll :-***
